2007 was the inaugural year for the Channel Frederator Awards. While last year's celebration was all about the viewers and the filmmakers, it was also a great way to celebrate our one year anniversary. Held at Cinespace on January 23rd in downtown Hollywood, the first annual Channel Frederator Awards party was a huge success. Filmmakers and fans all mingled and partied together for a night of fun and celebration. Check out some of the great photos from the party here, or view the special Channel Frederator Award Episodes from last year, here. You'll also find a list of 2007's award winners here.

Besides the great live event that is the Channel Frederator Awards, we also have a very-cool program every year. The program, just like the awards themselves are edited by our viewers. All of the content is suggest by our viewers, including essay topics and contributers. We also select a handful of submitters and Channel Frederator fans to contribute artwork. The result is not just a page-turning look into the cartoon industry, but also a great way for those who can't attend to get a taste of the Channel Frederator Awards themselves.

Curious? Check out some of last year's content. Read the essays written by such industry vets as Jerry Beck, Jeff Jarvis, Mike Lazzo and more, as they reflect on what excites them about the future of cartoons.
